Top 6 Sustainable Influencers You Should Check Out

Social media is the is the foundation for many influential voices of our generation. We watch, read, and listen to what these influencers say and we take in everything they say. We try the things they make, go the places they go, buy the things they buy.

It is also in this age, where many of us chose to think more consciously about the things we buy and the people we listen to. Since starting to make more sustainable choices in our lives we have come across dozens of influencers who talk about green products, ethical fashion and zero waste living. We love learning things from other people’s perspectives.

We compiled a list of our favourite people all about living more sustainably, while trying our best to include people who cover sustainably from different approaches.

Here they are:

1.Alden Wicker, @ecocult

Alden is a a freelance journalist who’s main focus is on sustainable fashion. But the thing that makes her work so notable is that everything she writes is extremely research-based. She travels to factories to better understand the fashion supply chain. She attends fashion summits and dives into fashion first hand. Everything is very investigative and you can tell she puts a lot of work into everything she writes. She has bylines in Glamour, Newsweek, Fast Company, Refinery29 and Racked.

She also runs Eco Cult, which is a website that focuses on sustainable fashion and travel.

This is another YouTuber we love watching. Verena or Erin (the name she typically goes by) focuses on fashion, but a lot on capsule wardrobes, sewing, and natural beauty. We just love the relaxed approach she takes to her videos that are usually pretty informative. She is always offering a new perspective on things and we love it!

4. Jon Kahler, @jon.kahler

You very often will not see a male influencer talking about sustainability. Why that is could be number of reasons. In fact, Jon made a video about one reason he thinks. We recently found his YouTube channel and checked out his Instagram. His photography is great as well. Either way, his focus is more on veganism and low waste living and we love how he covers topics in short videos so they are quick and easy to consume.
